Henry Young is the owner of Erehwon Retreat and welcomes you to a beautiful, stress-free abode.
Prior to opening the door of Erehowon, your host enjoyed an extensive career in the arts including The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, The Joffrey Ballet, Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Cincinnati Ballet Company. He continues to serve in capacities of management and fundraising consulting.
He’s also a sailor and, in 1992, sailed all of the Great Lakes and the route of Columbus 500 years later. With his eclectic worldly and local knowledge, he strives to insure a unique experience for his guests.
Maybe you have wistful memories of cookies from grandmother’s oven, the old Studebaker, the whoosh of a long-ago train journey, the whir of a Singer sewing machine preparing for prom…I grew up in a Pasadena Bungalow as a child. When it came to planning an aesthetic for Erehwon, I felt that nostalgia would provide an important relief for our guests. I believe setting aside some time for memories elevates our mood, reminds us of the early times when we felt “protected.” In short, being able to look back with satisfaction is to live it all over again. Perfect for our times.
